What age children can attend?
3 months to 3 years. After age 3, children are ready to graduate to Pre-K 3 at one of the many local schools.
Do you take children who want to attend part-time?
We assess each application on a case-by-case basis. Usually, we take children full-time and can work with parents around flexibility in schedules. Contact us to discuss further!
Do you close for summer break?
While we align as much as possible with DCPS for emergency closures, we pride ourselves in providing care year-round so that parents can count on our support throughout the year. We have a short summer and winter closure to give our caretakers a well deserved break with their families. Given the small class size, we are able to stay open for most of the year! Do you provide meals?
Given the small class size and variety of ages we don't cater food for our students. We are experienced in handling food and milk sent from home. Although we do keep emergency stocks of food at all times!
Do you teach baby sign language?
Especially when children begin to attend as infants, we do use sign language with them to communicate in addition to English and Spanish!
Do you use an app?
Given the small class size and child-to-teacher ratio, we haven't invested in an app. We prefer that our teachers be focused on the care of your child at all times. We aim to send pictures and videos, with your consent, as often as we can. We also promise to remain responsive to calls and texts to coordinate the care of your child!
